Pay in More Than You Take Out!

To get the best from people Stephen Covey says we need to pay them in Emotional Money so that we can build our Emotional Bank Account with them. This means that we need to know how to acknowledge people. We need to ‘stroke’ ( give attention to ) people conditionally as well as unconditionally. This means that we need to verbalise praise for their performance as well as acknowledging their qualities.
